I have found this book to be very informative to my research thus far. I have been able to find a great deal about social networking and its relation to teenager's social and learning skills, but this book is the best source I have found so far on cellphones specifically text messaging impact on adolescents.

This article published by the Royal College of Psychiatrists is a great source from the point of view from the social sciences. It explains how differently the youth born after 1995 view the world from those who were adolescents before this major and respectively new technology boom.
